Adam, Those aunts etc are a prime market for this iMac as it is a turn key appliance, a no brainer, and that is where it will sell. Apples are easier to setup and use by laypeople, no question about it. There are a lot out there and the price is in line with performance. An excellent entry level machine to stream people,to the APple platform.
Remember the RC churh, give me the child and I will own the man.

Adam - Re: "Are they going to buy a neon-colored see-through plastic computer and put it in the middle of their traditional homes with their china cabinets and antiques? I doubt it."

Do you mean your friends and family are NOT going to become Mac Evangelists and sign uo for some Brain Washing and buy an iMAC ?

Apple appeals to such a narrow segment of the population that their fate seems destined for niche-hood for a long, long time.
