It depends on your trading activity and your investment objectives. If you are an active trader, trying to take advantage of intraday movements ( not a position or more long term investor) then trading on a Level II system with multiple order entry systems seems to make a lot of sense.

I think one good thing about Datek is that they usually have stock to short. I understand MBTtrading have a daily list of just a few stocks that are shortable.
