My understanding is that its is not true. Once the prosecutor is set off into motion his supervisor is the 3-judge panel (currently occupied by Jesse Helms cronies). Reno can increase the scope of Starr's investigation, but cannot curtail it or limit it. Under the prior law, under which President Nixon was investigated, the Atty General's office could, and did, fire the special prosecutor (which spurred the resignation of the Atty General and his Deputy as a protest).

Clinton is a goner. Sooner rather than later. More so rather than less.

Any conjecture on when Slick is thrown out? We should hope that he tries to ride out the November elections - he'll take out a lot of the worst and the dumbest.

Goodbye Boxer. Goodbye Moseley-Braun. Good riddance Hollings.
