I simply meant that if the presidential poll numbers continue to hold which I doubt, he is doing what Orrin Hatch did a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't want the possibility of partisans on the other side having the "there go the Republicans, putting the President on trial because of his private sex life" argument. He's directing Americans not to be focused on the sex aspect of this scandal. When the facts of Clintons perjury and obstruction of justice come out in Starr's report, it will be a different story. I still say that it won't ever go that far, the dems will see to it that Clinton resigns before then.
