what concerns me is the market internals. I have been keeping data for advances and declines as well as new highs and new lows for the past few weeks. new lows in the last two weeks have outnumbered new highs every single day by a margin of about 8 to 1. sSometimes it is even higher. Decliners have led advancers 3 out of every 4 days and by a wider margin than when advancers lead.

Also, today should have been a follow through day on the long side. Didn't look very good to me. I think it may be time for the bulls to take cover and raise some cash. The chances that the bear is already out of hibernation are pretty good. The market usually shows weakness in september and october anyway and this year may very well repeat 1987. The charts look very similar.

Let's hope we're right. I am maintaining my short positions. good luck
