Some interesting exerps from a health pamphlet called "Worst Pills
Best Pills" put out by the Public Citizen Health Research Group. I think its a monthly publication but I'm not sure.

It's titled:

DO NOT USE BEFORE 2004 (FIVE YEARS AFTER RELEASE)
Sildenafil (Viagra) for Male Sexual Dysfunction

It is a 3 page spread talking about Viagra and the risks associated with it (deaths and vision). It goes on to talk about the small sample tested and the possible side effects. It mentions other drugs that have been pulled off the market after a year or two because of serious reaction that might not be detected but once in 5-10,000 people (Viagra was tested on 4,526 people). Probably one of the more intersting comments was about the "Fast-Track" process which is turning the US "into the world's largest testing laboratory".

I wish I had a scanner, but I don't. Most of the the article's content has been discussed on the thread many times over, so I didn't bother to mention it. It was nice to see a publication being so cautious. For the record, Viagra's possible side effects were mentioned, but the drug was not condemned. The jist of it was, with all these possible side effects and because this is not a life prolonging drug, wait five years (like they recommend for most drugs) before taking it.

Just thought I'd share,
Colby
