Incidentally McGinn accidentally let it slip that Ascend was one of the companies they are acquiring in a company meeting a couple of months ago. This is from a Lucent contact in NJ. Hitesh, have you been holding out on us, your virtual friends? :-)

Hitesh, Funny thing how perspectives change. Prior to the acquisition everyone on this and the YAHOO thread were saying SRA and ASND are a terrible fit. No one could fathom the idea. I for one thought it was a good fit and took a few arrows for it. Now everyone says SRA will push ASND into the tier 1 group of networking players. Anyway, just an observation.... Now I'm wondering where all the negative perspectives went. I know Bucky89 was VERY negative on this acquisition. Has everyone changed their mind now that SRA deal is real? Gary (OG)
