The only way to end this is by removing the Republican majority from Congress in November and maintaining a stable Presidency.

ROFLMAO

You are kidding, right? They are the only thing that has kept the man from furthering his and his wife's agenda. I may not have much love for congress but they are doing a good job of holding him at bay.

That's scary. The Constitution was set up in such a way that the Presidency was a relatively weak position, to prevent the possibility of a monarchy. It almost sounds like you want a king. What's important is that we make sure our Congresspeople represent us, and the President carry out the laws passed by Congress, and that he/she conduct foreign policy.

Obviously, enough people wanted split government (Republican Pres/Democrat Conress or vice versa) to result in Nixon, Reagan, Bush and Clinton working with split government, and Carter having a Republican Senate. America doesn't seem to trust either party enough to give them total control.

You are too naive. The Rep majority is what has given us this nice economy. For 20+ years we sure didn't get it from the Dems. (And NO I don't belong to either party. Have voted 3rd party for the past 8 years.)

If "the presidency" makes the world happy, cool. But it's about time that the world learns and the American people remember that any president or congressperson can be replaced tomorrow and this country will still be fine, if not better.

One of the most incredibly stupid comments I've read anywhere.
I guess the next time Clinton has sex with a 21 year-old in the White House and lies to the American public about it for 7 months you'll want all of the Republican governors removed.

Your voting Libertarian is not consistent with supporting Clinton or having a Democratic majority in the Congress. Clinton and the Democrats wants greater government control over people's lives and is willing to tax us to death to accomplish this. All one need do is look at the European Welfare States to see what a pathetic country this would become. The only thing propping up the Europeans is that they can sell their goods here. Otherwise, their low unemployment rate of 12-15% would shoot up to 20-25%. In time, they may reach that goal since every economic expansion their unemployment rate troughs at a higher level. As for the Republicans, they spend too much of their time on governmental control on social issues, such as abortion and crime, which should be left to communities and localities to decide.

I suspected that this thread was a joke and now I know it is. What a twisted sense of logic. Let's see, Clinton screws up so let's get rid of the Republican congress.

Is that you Hilary?
