Hi Gang, just an old time WavePhorer here

noticed the price was cheap, and the press
releases were flying, so I thought I'd chime
in for a moment. while WAVO's press addressing
the downgrade issues are comforting, please
try to keep in mind that the additional
subscriber base that Win'98 hoped to bring
in is assuradly lower then what many were
hoping for only a few months ago. Reletively
few people have upgraded, and many new machines
are still being sold with Win'95. So coming
to a conclusion, albeit premature, that the
numbers of subscribers may disappoint is not
out of the realm of reality. Considering their
other businesses and great potential of VBI
that WAVO is positioned to develope, I'm
hopeful they will do well this coming year.

More promising than $18.
I called a friend who's highly placed at MSFT. His employment contract absolutely forbids him from discussing any rumors, but you know how that goes. I E-mailed him the rumor posted on this thread and he called me back which is unusual enough during a work day.

Me."What's up with you guys buying Wavephore?"
Him "You know I can't comment!"

Interesting because his usual answer to every rumor is "It's just bullshit!"

Moving on ....

Me. "You know that over a year ago, Intel wanted Wavephore at $17 and it was rejected."

Him. "I heard that, but it's worth more now that they're on 98".

Me. "Do you still own the stock?"

Him. "Can't say." Note: I know he sold out at $15, wish I did. Suggest he repurchased, don't you think?

Me. (begging)"C'mon man, I own this stock for ever a year and I'm slightly down, and it in my kid, your Godsons, college fund. this recent sell recommendation kills me, should I get out."

Him."I'd wait if I were you, I can't say, but that rumor may be on target, you know I can't say, but I'm hearing similar stuff around here. I really don't know for sure. We're not allowed to talk."

"But you know for sure its not untrue?"

"That's it, Goodbye.

Now you know too, for what it's worth. Good luck
