He espoused higher taxation for all and greater spending. The balanced budget is primarily due to the economy recovering just before his taking office, the S&L bailout spending of $ 50-70 billion per year ending just before his taking office, and on higher taxes. What evidence of fiscal restraint. He threatens to shut down the government again because Congress won't give him his additional spending.

I don't see the Libertarians having a chance. They're quite popular among the drug legalization crowd. The other two parties are in a position to buy votes through spending programs and targeted tax cuts.

It will probably be several more elections before the Libertarians can create enough public awareness to win, hence I voted for the man who reflected my views and could win an election.

Please have the courage of your convictions henceforth. I hate to think of you giving your vote to your second choice. You and the American people deserve better. One thing for sure, we never will get better if our primary concern is who could win, not who is most worthy of the job.
