Melissa, thanks for the interesting response. My 25 prediction is a worst case scenario and is only because I see a terrible correction coming in the market in the next 2 months which will especially devastate the hi-techs worst of all. Sort of like last year, but maybe worse. And remember the street always bids these companies up too high when they love then and then too low when they tire of them. That of course is why the small guys like you and me can use these street idiosyncrasies to do a lot better than the S&P 500. So if/when psft hits 25 there will be blood in the streets and great deals all around so save some cash for that eventuality.
Sorry to hear about your itwo saga. I actually lost a small amount of money buying puts on it last year when the street absolutely loved it and refused to look at it at all objectively. I'm usually too early on my puts but hopefully I'm learning, especially learning not to fight the street. And about size vs growth yes of course you are right but it's tough to find that point in advance where the growth rate slows down substantially. Look at dell for the last 3 years bears have been saying the growth spurt is ending and they've been dead wrong. The important thing is for psft to not make some catastrophic blunder here- as long as they don't then it's still a great company growing rapidly and so long term it should go higher. But I personally will wait until either psft is ridiculously cheap or the correction is behind us and psft looks ready to run...

Mel .. Re: <But 25 just seems ridiculous.> ....

Didn't we all think anything in low 30's was ridiculous a few short weeks ago?

PS I agree with your sentiment of course
