I'd take a 1:1 share offer from AMAT for my SVGI shares even if AMAT is overpriced and SVGI underpriced today. :-)

Katherine,

Simple question here about AMAT and lithography (and excuse my ignorance). I thought AMAT's strategy was to expand their market by providing tools that maximize efficiency by working together. Wouldn't lithography be an odd duck here? Don't these machines standalone at the beginning of the process? Is there any benefit that integration could provide?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Thanks for your response... very interesting. The only reason I bring it up now (re: <IMO all of this is speculation, though. If AMAT were going to buy SVGL, they would have done it already.>) is that the company is 1/3 the price it was when rumors of AMAT interest were flying. That definitely makes a difference assuming it was ever considered...

Whats your take on consolidation in the industry if things get uglier?
