Apple's been Microsoft's R&D department for years,

Quite true, the most important developments of this
decade such as the Internet, the Web, Java, tcp/ip,
Corba and multi-threading all came from Apple.

I see only two companies mentioned here. Your statement would only make sense -- or be in any way amusing -- if Microsoft invented the Internet, the Web, Java, tcp/ip, Corba and multi-threading.

They didn't.

Do you really understand those terms you mentioned? Ok, give me
an example of multi-threading and where it can be applied?

Tcp/ip was developed by DoD. Java was Sun's, Internet was invented
by MIT's student.
