Michelle, there is no doubt that sentiment has changed over the last quarter or two, but I am an investor. That means that the sentiments of my fellow investors are not my primary concern, but rather the long term prospects of the company. Because as sure as God made little green apples, investor sentiment will be different five years from now. Trying to guess changes in investor sentiment is not a profitable endeavor.

The argument for buy and hold is pretty straight forward. I believe that Warren Buffet expressed it best when talked of investing in a good company with excellent management and going to sleep for twenty years. But in technology you can't go to sleep for twenty years. Things change too rapidly. So I watch the managements of the companies that I invest in, and listen very carefully to what people like you have to say about the technology and R&D.

But investing on the basis of investor sentiment? Forget it. It's a losing game.
