Have you read and what was your take, from your unique point of view, on Moby Dick?

While I am at it, another good question on which you might very well have some knowledge pops into mind. When I was vacationing on Cape Cod a few years ago I came across a family with an absolutely wonderful dog. They said it was a Portuguese Waterdog. I had never heard of them before and most people I mention them to haven't either. There are some on Cape Cod because many Portuguese fishermen made homes in the old fishing villages there. The dogs are described as very hard workers, smart, affectionate with great temperament, including being wonderful with children, etc. (apparently they are also great for fishermen because they have slightly webbed paws and are great swimmers as a result). In a few days I became so fond of that dog that if I ever get out of NYC I intend to get one. Did you know about them, ever have or use one in your fishing days, etc.,??
