Sorry, bp....enlighten me...I've either forgotten or never focused on the two people you mentioned in the first paragraph.

Albright/Powell would be fine with me bp, BUT....is the country ready yet??

Yes, Jeanne Kirkpatrick would be another good candidate....altho' we wouldn't want early Alzheimer's symtoms to cause major incidents, as it has in the past.(Not sure how old Ms. Kirkpatrick is, but she has been on the national scene a long time now.)

Don't want to sound as tho' I condone age discrimination, however, in the case of the Chief Exec. maybe we'd better have them undergo brainscans before running for the office.......as we well know, forgetting a little detail(such as telling someone to sell arms to the Iranians)can cause big problems.

Ann

Remember Jeanne's speech at the Republican National Convention when she lit into the "Blame America First" liberals? I loved it. Does anyone have a copy of it by any chance?

<<<Colin Powell/ Madeleine Albright, really? Why not Albright/Powell? Better still Kirkpatrick/JC Watts.....bp>>>

Unfortunately we live in the real world. Madeline Albright has done little to engender my confidence. I hate to mention this but Colin Powell is a black man. Yeah, no one wants to bring this up but unfortunately America, like every other country on the face of the earth, still has strong racial elements that would probably doom the candidacy. However, as a COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, I can't think of a better man for the job then Mr. Powell. Nevertheless, I refuse to support any candidate based solely on their skin color or gender. To look at a person's body rather than their mind is why we're in the mess we're in now! By the way, wasn't it Clinton that hired Jocelyn Elders and then fired her when she took stands that were unpopular with the majority of Americans?

Hey, while were at it, how about Tiger Woods/Paula Abdul?
Then we could represent every race/sex known to man. Or better yet:

Slash/Mariah Carrey
Jason Kidd/Dennis Rodman
Rupaul/Prince -g-

Seriously, when I vote for somebody I don't care what their race is. I don't like it when people say "It's about time that a woman becomes a president," or "It's about time that a gay black fat guy becomes president." I care most about their ideas and what their plans are.
