you are absolutely correct. The funny part is back in 95 when first LSI dropped from $52 to around $38/shr I said to myself, "sure, 2 years from now it really does not matter if I buy at $38 or $30, LSI will sure be at $70"! Well 2 years passed and we are now in the 3rd year from that day when I said that. And what do I find?! Surprise! LSI is back to where it started in January of 1995: at around $14-$15/shr. The difference is in January of 1995 LSI set its path to rise to $60/shr in less than a year. Could this time around be the same?! Perhaps not, but I truly will be shocked to see LSI dropping below $14. (Although I have been shocked many times in my life, so no big deal if I get another shock)!

Can someone help with a couple of tax questions. If you sell a stock to take a capital loss how long do you have to wait before you can repurchase the stock again without it being a wash.

Also, I'm pretty sure the holding period for capital gains was changed back to 12 months from 18 months this summer. Can anyone verify?

Thanks
