In any case, I believe the two-party system was inaugurated by the founding fathers with an eye to stability. If we waiver from their blueprint, it could be the undoing of their grand plan.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think that the founding fathers instilled the two-party system. In fact I think George Washington warned against political parties.
