You could consider it the lesser of evils. Pastuerization kills life as well as bacteria. Destroys enzymes and then requires nutrients to be replaced. If I were, which I am, concerned about providing the best drink for my daughter, I would use a juicer, which I do. Not very convenient, and it spills......but it is worth the effort. perhaps what I am alluding to is that this company should remain concentrated on what they supposedly do best, packaging. Shoot1st
