That's an aweful story... By the way... (since I'm new to trading and all). How does shorting work? You said you shorted 10,000 shares of CD. Does that mean you bought 10,000 shares?! Do you have to cash in those shorted shares by a certain time or can you hang on to them for as long as you want just like when you normally purchase a stock? Any information would be greatly appreciated. $210,000 in 3 hours, not bad for a days work! How much do 10,000 shorted shares acually cost you? -Amir
