Hi Jacob....

The ITTR interest undoubtedly comes from Breed Technologies, which will develop that product for resale to auto OEM's.

The product has potentially greater demand than ITS, as it is far more effective in European crash tests than belts. If domestic crash tests are changed to judge the impact of the new technology on belted occupants, look for *everyone* to install this in the front seat, as it is less expensive than the current SRS system (and much more effective, too).

Back seat applications are a "piece of cake." My own guess is that you will actually see them in automobiles beginning in the 2001 model year. It is possible...but I am not predicting it...that you may see at least one manufacturer use the system the prior year. I don't think that your BMW bet is very wide of the mark.

Have a good weekend.
