Bill Clinton said in his testimony in the Paula Jones case that he could not remember ever being alone with Monica Lewinsky, except "perhaps on one or two occasions when she brought him a pizza or papers to sign". His admission of an inappropriate relationship with Monica L. makes that sworn testimony a lie. Now, knowing this, what does the slimy weasel try to claim? That the definition of sex in the Paula Jones case did not include what acts they did together. This is hair splitting and only a sleazebag liar would try to slither out of the truth by making such laughable claims. He may also try to claim that the lie was immaterial or unintentional. Legally, this may be a way out, but as a laywer in the WSJ said: "but this argument does not exonerate him of moral culpability for lying under oath. What's more, the law on this point is unsettled; the most compelling view is that the materiality of a false statement under oath is judged as of the time the statement is made, rather than in light of subsequent events. (such as Judge Susan Webber Wright's decision to exclude Lewinsky evidence from the Jones suit or her later dismissal of the suit)." He may have obstructed justice and comitted subornation of perjury in the Jones suit. "Mr. Clinton sat mute during... (an) ...exchange (between Clinton's lawyer Mr. Bennett and the judge) and deliberately allowed his lawyer to urge upon the court evidence the president knew to be false and fraudulent." He may have committed witness tampering when he coached Monica and his secretary Ms. Currie "about what he wanted them to say if they were questioned." No, this is not about sex. I couldn't care less what Bubba does and with whom, or the myriad positions or any of that. That simply is not the issue even though slickster's supporters try to make it the issue. The issues are now legal ones and it should not matter what the polls/American people say, that's not relevent now. When you break the law by lying under oath, attempt to get others to do the same while attempting to cover-up what you have done, that's simply something that any other American would go to jail for. It's called the law ! Slickster made an oath to uphold the laws of the land. He broke that oath and should have to pay just like anyone else who breaks the law. If he wants to have conjugal visits from all his floozies while he is in jail, that's fine with me. HiTech
