For a start I would look to revamping the capital flow infrastructure. For reference read:

rba.gov.au

I would also like to see the fed lower interest rates a tad. I would look to replenishing IMF coffers but with policy changes based on what we have learned over the last several months. Raising interest rates in these countries will not help. We are throwing the good companies out with the bad giving virtually no hope to the economies involved. I would export solid risk assesment systems to foreign banks. (I am not sure how this could be accomplished but it is desperately needed.)

I would provide selective foreign aid for humanitairian purposes (food, medicine) to countries most deperately in need (Indonesia for sure).

I am sure there are other and better ideas. And I am receptive to any comments, contrary or not.
