>In your constant reminders that government has *NO* positive role to play in our lives, why not just boil down your Harvardspeak to:

Government Bad/Me Good, Bunga Bunga.<

Because when I say bunga bunga, people look at me funny.

Harvard? Why do you use Harvard? Coming from the U of Chicago econ school, I'll tell you that the Harvard folks are considered rather socialist and over-reliant on government intervention. Heck, even Gary Becker back at U of C would occasionally agree that government has a role to play, though he would grimace when saying so.

Brad Bolen-

<<And neither does anyone else with so much as an ounce of civilized blood in their (sic) veins>>

Spoken as a true believer, a snotty one at that. In impugning Kam's degree of civilization, you do not bother to explain your rationale. Simply engaging in character assassination is sufficient in your book to close an argument.

In a free society you would be free to temper the consequences of that free society by your own actions. You could try to convince others to join you. Such activities often are called charity. You, on the other hand, prefer to organize men at the barrel of a gun to coerce them to perform "good" acts. And you have the gall to challenge Kam's civility.
