As we approach the end of this millenium, the economists are saying that we are on the brink of a worldwide recession. biz.yahoo.com If so, then it is a classic case of a self-fulfilling prophecy. LatAm financials are now under pressure for no reason other than herd mentality. The economists are saying they'll fall like dominos- first Venuzuela devalues, then Brazil has to, then it goes across the pond to China, etc., etc. Conclusion: we may be in this for the long haul.
