And in a society where we're trained to think "if it's in print then it must be true" and "you can't win if you don't play", it's not too hard to part gullible investors from their money with a few choice lines of hype that tug on our emotions for instant gratification and thus act as elixirs for greed.

Seemingly informed and quite manipulative phrases include:

*Short Term*
Big news this week
Short squeeze coming

*Medium Range*
I hear they've been talking to (insert big name company here)
My target price is (outragious target price)

*Long Term*
If the company only got 1% of the market for (insert sector here)
They have no competition
