Eddie, see my post to LL for the reasons for dismissing TA. The fool is one who accepts potentially costly approaches to investing without demanding some measure of proof. My comment was made in response to someone making the definitive statement that PSFT had reached it bottom, and was definitely on its way up. How many people would have lost money acting solely on that basis?

As to you comment ascribing statements about CPQ to me, I never characterized (nor would I characterize) a stock as a dog. That is not my style. The fact is that I believe that CPQ has an inferior business model to Dell, and given its growth prospects, is probably an inferior investment to Dell.

On the DELL thread you seem very quick to agree that Compaq is a dog even though it's up 150% the past two years.
