Uptick, I'm confused. If you don't want Portico to handle
incoming messages and find you because you feel it is too
expensive for you then don't publish the number. It is
costing your company more to have your secretary find you
and take your messages. Portico is the cheaper route.

>I check my email etc with a secretary. I realize that everyone
>doesn't have one. As for my laptop, I prefer doing my email on it.

OK, fine. Those alternatives cost much more and are less flexible.
Is the secretary devoted to you and is she working 24 hours? I'm
sure it would take you more time to call her/him then Portico.
Ever miss the secretary while at lunch or down the hall?

I'd hate to see you on the road with that laptop on the
steering wheel while driving. Kind of hard to type while you
are walking your businesses campus or to your car? I guess you
are missing my points.

Any other Portico subs out there, please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that the "double minute" scenario is when you're on-line with Portico and place an OUTGOING call. Rationale being that you are occupying 2 lines - 1 for Portico, 1 for the outgoing call.

Incoming calls count straight up as minutes. No double line action, no double minutes of usage.

So uptick, if I am right, then you have to reduce your monthly estimate for your Portico fee.

Also, regarding how carriers want to use Portico - Maybe I'm oversimplifying things, but is it outrageous to think with several major carrier CEO's on the GMGC board of directors, their input was solicited as to what would be most desireable way for them to utilize Portico? Uptick, I'm sure you're a very smart guy and all, but I'm gonna take Denny Striegel's 2 cents on the value of Portico to a carrier and best partnership model for service over yours any day.
