Melissa, I don't care what anybody says about you, you should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize!

But let me make a few points here.

Comparing TA to either fundamental analysis or financial analysis is unfair, since fundamental analysis does not pretend to be predictive of stock prices, but TA does.

You go on to say:

Even if you were to say that TA is only accurate 80% of the time it's still better than not having it all.

If it were 80% accurate I would be charting right along with the rest. Ditto 51%. The fact is that there is no statistical evidence to indicate that it is any better than random. If you can cite some statistics to show that it works I will be very interested in looking at it. In the mean time, all we hear is proof by blatant assertion.

The reason that this stuff annoys me is the same reason I would be annoyed if Jeanne Dixon provided market advice on these threads.

TTFN,
CTC
