Good afternoon Margaret. I am having a hard time with the net today. I guess everybody and their brother is on. I was persistent this time and finally made it.

Yes, I feel that CPQ will be alright and your strategy of hold and buy will be alright also. I will go that route as soon as I decide one day to go off margin alltogether. In the meantime I have to go a little with the flow of the market and do some selling here and there in order to offset my margin expenses and like I told you earlier today to reduce my margin when it looks a bit scary. I generally try to sell some stocks with modest profits and bigger losses. I hang on to the small losers and big gainers. I know that is a funny strategy but I bought those losers in the hope of making a profit. And when it comes to my bigger gainers like Dell and the like, I am holding on for the longer term and splits.

The tech sector is kind of mixed today. CPQ was up but is now trading down a bit. Too bad you did not buy CPQ when we discussed it first under 30 when I bought mine again. But just like Intel, it will be a good stock for the future IMO. If I believed diff. I would not have bought CPQ for my grandchildren. By the time they go to college it will come in handy.

Russia and stuff is keeping investors on their toes. Hm, Japan seems to be forgotten at this point. Good thing for Russia etc. Keeps the pressure off Japan for a while. gg.

Ms. Cohen is still looking for that 9300 by the end of 98. She said sev. times before: At least 9300.

I'll better get off here. I am expecting a call from the Dentist. Ugh.

Hello Margaret. I am making it before midnight this time around. gg. I give you the link to my post to Sonki. It has sev. links about stocks.

Message 5579436

I will add another link to it here for a small stock. Read the contents very carefully. It is still considered a turnaround and probably not a sure thing. But it has a nice low price and over 60% in 1 year sounds pretty good if it would come about. My wife had lots of this stock in her IRA and so did I. We sold all my Novl before it tanked at a nice profit but my wife decided to keep 300 shares as a nest egg. Well it took quite a while for Novl to show some life again. My wife, of course, is keeping her fingers crossed. With the NAZ down today and Novl up the last cpl of days, I may look at it tomorrow.
