I suggest you call Apple and check on scsi ready as I was just told this and showed the place on the bottom of the iMAC where it could go.
If a PowerMac 266 is too slow for artwork, something ain't right.

The first time I read about iMac's lack of external SCSI connector I thought 'it can't be right' but I have since read about it a few times. Check the following link.

From the article, it seems you can get a 'USB to SCSI' adapter though. I guess apple envisions people buying USB printers and scanners and zip/jaz drives.

Not to mention there is no place to plug in my wife's Wacom tablet (ADB).
