"What do we do if they down a plane and take 300 American lives?"

Lemme tell ya. To paraphrase from the Untouchables.....

They put one of "ours" in the hospital, we put one of "theirs" in the morgue.

They put one of ours in the morgue, we put ten of theirs in body bags.

They kill three hundred of ours, the Afghanistan mountain range in which they live gets turned to glass.

BTW do you consider 5 million worth it if it was one of your relatives killed by these jerks?

12 American lives lost: that's $5 million per life. What do we do if they down a plane and take 300 American lives?

Actually I think the Tomahawks we use nowdays are $1M each, so we spent $75 million taking retribution for the embassy bombings. At 12 American lives lost, let's just call it an even $6 mill per life.

Now on to the airplane question (or rather the answer): 300x$6m=$1.8 billion, which translates into......wahoo! 1,800 Tomahawks! We could, had we the resolve, put into practice a literal "scorched earth" policy in our war against terrorism.

I wonder any military contractor weapons factory workers would need to work overtime? :-)
