About the arithmetic...I am fully aware that PSFT has gone up more than CPQ percentage wise. I never claimed Compaq performed better. I meant to imply roughly in the same ballpark.

Second, I could not have mistaken your stance on PSFT management, because in the original post that I responded to you never even mention management. You NEVER mentioned Management. Why do you now claim you did? You just mention stock performance. That's it. The very fact that you then state about management in response to my post was my whole point....further explanation was needed to explain your inconsistency.

I would have to disagree with PSFT's management being better than CPQ's. Compaq has one of the best managements in the business. You don't take a 2 billion company and transform it into a $50 billion without being EXCELLENT. I'm not saying that PSFT has poor management...only that Compaq has excellent management.

And about being defensive: I'm not the one trying to defend PSFT. You are.

Well enough with this topic...I'm looking for a good entry point for PSFT.
