ted--

thats almost exactly it. yeltsins stand against the communists in 91 was great video, but since then the privatizations have done nothing but move the assets into hands that shouldnt have them.

russians will maintain a democracy...will it be american style? maybe. the question is no longer if yeltsin will remain, the question is when someone will force him out.

good luck to all,
trey

The Strong Man...

Ted:

The Monarchies of the world don't exist anymore because those strongmen (Kings) were by and large corrupt and out of touch with the people... When I think of strongman I think of Dictatorship... That's too much power for any one person in the Nuclear age... I'd rather that Russia keeps stumbling along the path of Democracy because the answers will eventually come from the people not from some Strongman that would stifle a free exchange of ideas...
