Oh yeah I believe the story too! A hot barrel is a harsh mistress for the uninitiated. I wouldn't mind touching off a coupla rounds from a well-tuned fifty. I read a tale of a gal who used one such to snipe coyote in Midwestern farmland, the kind that's carved into neat half-mile squares. 'Yoters in the middle of the square feel pretty much safe from the truck-hood snipers. The fifty educates those doggies in a hurry. I better ease off the varmint stories - Rambi might show up peeved. :-)
