Ahmad,
OOooooooooouuuuuccccccchhhhhhh!
I guess I won't be complaining about my $14.50 bum stock after reading that. My brightest hope is a buyout but I wouldn't expect more than $24 to $28 per share right now. Sorry

Patrick

Ahmad: My first purchase was at 9 1/2 (split-adjusted) and that was several years ago. I bought more, again several years ago, at 17 1/2. Then I took advantage (I thought) of Adaptec's slide and bought on the way down. Overall, I've lost money on paper, not to mention my opportunity costs. It would be hard to find many winners in the long column, except, of course, Christopher Hodgkins, although he's singing the blues like the rest of us. My CSCO and LU help maintain my composure.

If there was what Andy Grove calls a "strategic inflection point" in the I/O business, Adaptec apparently didn't see it in time, and in this business, timing is everything. I'll give the company a bit longer to prove itself and then move to greener pastures.

I hope you recover your 36 and then make some profits.
