why are people selling? over the past month, nothing in the NETA story has changed except that EPS estimates for 1999 have gone up at a number of brokerage firms. the strategy is still intact, SOLLY is accretive for 1999, and the company is seeing positive press from industry analysts (Hurwitz Group)and Wall Street analysts (target prices in the mid-$60s range). the indirect channel is contributing a larger % of revenue (this is a good thing), and the company maintains large reserves for returns, so channel "stuffing" concerns (which is actually channel filling - there is a difference between the two) holds little water in my mind.

from what i hear, the analyst at Cowen holds no clout on the Street with the NETA name, and the only reason the stock was down was that Cowen comments invoked a "sell first, ask questions later" scenario. I think the selloff is completely overdone. this stock should be trading in the high $40's. i can't see any reason not to own this at $42.
