Re: MOT move into set-top boxes.

Here is another attempt by MOT to arrive in its "too little, too late" manner. If history tells us anything about this company, it is that they have been followers and not leaders in new technology.
I believe that set-top technology is alot more than what MOT thinks it is. It is a poor mgmt decision on MOT part, and unfortunately for their shareholders, this "excitement" will decline significantly in about a year from now. Why? Because cable co's have been burned by this venture into interactive TV once b4, and it was costly. What have cable co's learned from this? To stick with what works. GIC is THE dominant player, they have a wherewithall to get this revolution done, and cable co's know this and will stick with what works. This new infrastructure is at a fragile point, and only a few players are going to win, MOT will lose.
