One more thing,

After speaking with MS at length twice, researching Edgar filings, calling the transfer agent, reading most of the last 3,000 SI posts (many of which have factual information and not just hype or bashings), researching IDB (to some extent), researching Siemens (to some extent), I am personally convinced that FNTN is not a scam.

That doesn't mean it will make it big, as MS told me today "this is a start up company and start up companies are risky."

If you're worried about whether the company is a scam, call MS, send a PM to samir, send a PM to Harry, he has visited the site (I think).

If you just can't convince yourself that it's not a scam, then don't buy.

Kevin

1) the recent report that FNTN's largest line is an ISDN is false. They don't have an ISDN. They run a dedicated 56K for their internal LAN and have provisioned a DS3 to handle the external load.

Assuming the latency between UUnet and their border router it appeared to be ISDN, which is still better than a lousy 56k. I am confused when you say the 56k if for the Internal LAN?!?!? Most internal LAN's run at 10mb or 100mb not 56k. WWW.FNTN.COM is reached via the 56k it appears. And is connected to (lord don't strike me down for saying this word) an Ascend Pipeline.

So he mentions a DS3 is provisioned. Will the DS3 being used as upstream to the Internet or is this a private line?

2) I asked why he is reluctant to reveal the number of authorized shares. He said: "Until we are a reporting company I won't comment on any financial information, because if I do, and I'm even a dime off, we can be sued. I'd rather err on the cautious side. I have no problem with our transfer agent releasing any information they possess. They are independent of us.

Being a dime off on financials and simply commenting on the authorized shares is two different things. If I had my guess they are in the process or getting the number of authorized shares changed so they can continue to follow the quarterly trend of printing more shares.

A quality intranet does not happen overnight I agree with you. It doesn't take a year either. Proprietary hardware and private lines between clients? That's about as archaic as it comes. With todays increased bandwidth and the up and coming VPN's you could acheive the same functionality with a lot less overhead. VPN's are here today.

Finally, Mr. Sheppard said that he doesn't pay particular attention to the short term price of the stock

ROFL. If Mr. Sheppard was not really concerned about the share price then he wouldn't be filing 144's to dump his shares every quarter now would he?
