Paul.. It's never too late to sell. I thought that it was cheap in May, and it's lost about half it's value since then. If the earnings projections are correct, CELL has got to have one of the lowest PEG ratios of all stocks, selling at a p/e of about 1/3 of it's growth rate. For the reasons I discussed in my previous post, plus the general fear of a company doing about 3/4 of it's business overseas, the fact that it's cheap won't help. Since when are markets rational? Remember that the market doesn't care what you paid for something, that money is a sunk cost and really not relevant in sales decisions except for tax concerns. The real question is "what can I do with the money I get from selling?"
Evetually CELL might be a good buy again. I will watch it for a turn, which probably won't come until tax selling is over in late December. Tax selling is critical in a stock like this.

This is as nasty as it gets! My guess would be that a Merrill Lynch upgrade on the first IRIDF shipment is what gets us rolling. They don't have a 1-1 rating on the stock, I believe. Yet you know they follow it closely due to the LYONs deal, and otherwise love the company. They have the highest estimate for next year on the street of $1.10, but strongly believe that it is conservative.

So I am thinking that CELL will do some nice PR following the first shipment of IRIDF phones sometime in September. This is closely followed by one or two upgrade, as well as substantial earnings revisions.

Then we are off to $30. :o)
