I just want to point out that I tried several times to get the name of the "original" tree. That information, at least at that time, was not forthcoming. I also couldn't figure out why someone would alter a tree to produce a new sweetener -- over a 30 year period -- for fun. Apparently Dr. Loricchio holds 20+ patents but I presume also for fun as he was/is supposedly just a professor doing academic research and, if not for Sylver, would not be in business.

Does the plot about some amazing scientist doing things for fun who is "discovered" and made principal in an OTC BB company sound familiar? (gg)

So far I've got no call back and I won't be around for the next few hours so I'll call back myself tomorrow. If need be, I'll ask for Sylver as the IR guy admits he hasn't been around too long and was quite uncomfortable with my questions about the auditors, etc. (i.e. he has no clue if there is an auditor at this time, but does say they are hard at work trying to get out the '97 numbers).

- Jeff

P.S. Sorry for rambling, but it's 5pm and I have to go...

Janice, interesting day of phone calls. No one that I spoke to at the Nevada newspapers ever heard of Mr. Sylvers. One would think that the reported founder of the largest independent company in the state of Nevada, at one time, would be fairly known...

I had similar problems with the CEO's history at RMIL...

Being that it is a relatively small state, I would hope someone could provide more detail tomorrow. Who was it that said they were going to post the BOD today?
