Encyclopaedia Britannica CD-ROMs banned

The silliness continues...

Govt. of India do not want its citizens to know that outsiders
think there is a dispute between India and Pakistan about
Kashmir. They used to let in foreign books (including
the Encyclopaedia Britannica) containing
maps of the subcontinent only after blackening out
the Kashmir region since the boundaries might be
shown dotted-line or differ from the official Indian version.
Since it is near impossible to do the same to a CD-ROM,
they have decided instead to ban the entire CD-ROM.

Please, nobody tell Sushma Swaraj there are maps on the
internet, or VSNL would be putting in map filters soon.
