Thean, that is so bizzare to me...that the support has formed around 1056. There really has not been any previous grounding for that except the little mesa in March. Very strange.

CCI did something interesting today. It rose right up to the previous low of 137/138 made back in March...and it turned on a dime to retreat. When I saw that I shorted some shares.

It will be interesting how it responds tomorrow. Maybe flat then major downleg. Speaking of which...

Sew is making a comparison to today from the previous August day when the market went up 100+ points then dropped back to close up only 30 or so. The next day (tomorrow) was flat...and the next day the market tanked about 250 points. That's Thursday if the pattern repeats.

LT I think you have mentioned a similar D-Day date this week or next? If you guys prove right, I'm purging all those anti-market timing truisms that remain in my mind that have been tossed out by all those long-term gurus out there. However, I WILL remember never to be wed to any one strategy.

LT, you have mentioned interest rates will rise at some point. With all the money now going into bonds (for safe haven) driving their prices up (I'm assuming offshore money is partly behind this too), are you still convinced they'll take a dive?
