I really only have one problem with what you've said in this post:

Do I think the Repubican attack dogs have behaved more repulsively and are more dangerous to the country than this silly, tacky behavior of Clinton? Yes.

All in all I think most would agree the Republicans, for the most part, have been rather restrained in their 'attacking' of the president. Now, I'm talking about the legislators and not the talking head attack dogs who's numbers are at least equalled by the Democrat attack dogs against Starr et. al. The usually liberal media have also begun to turn on Clinton as well. The Republicans are awaiting the Starr report where it is suspected much more will be revealed other than the Lewinsky scandal that may lead to impeachment hearings. I don't think for a minute the Republicans want to pursue impeachment if they only have the Lewinsky matter, as repulsive as it is, with which to proceed.
