Wonderful reply rudedog. Very well articulated. Your ideas about personal success and the technology in which you have built your career (or past career...I'm not sure which) I find very uplifting. Currently I am very much at the peak of my professional career and find myself taking less and less involvement in keeping up with trending technologies....I am getting "stale" if you will. Perhaps I have gone as far as I can. Its been about a year since I did an 80 hour week. The last time I put in a 60+ hour week (only last month) I talked with the customer and requested that they re-allocate some of the responsibilities of my project to other individuals. They gladly complied....but I felt I had let down the team. So what. I cant imaging feeling this way just a few months ago. On the other hand I was able to avoid having what I felt where undue pressures put on me. The end result was that I felt better, had more time for my wife-with-child and 21 month old daughter. I also had more time for other things that are important, such as visiting my parents. Yesterday I spent 2 hours un-doing some of the damage I caused to a small RC airplane I managed to plant into the ground at my brother's farm 2 weeks ago. Talk about some real entertainment (fixing....not crashing<G>). I am also looking forward to detailing the engine in my Buick (Its a special Buick<G>) later this week. I have not been this relaxed for some time now....not really concerned about my next project or deadlines that are approaching. Thanks for your reply......
