gc .. I am not sure what to say beyond the fact that your $35 prediction

has come - and been exceeded (on the downside).

However, I do not believe it has behaved in the way it has for the reason(s) you gave three months ago. I do agree that other types of tech stocks have recovered and are doing well (most obvious is DELL), but software companies like PSFT are all in the dumper these days.

There is nothing wrong at PSFT and it will be back someday.

I think it is a 'buy' now, but I think one could hold on to cash and wait for more definite sign of move up (there is a long way to go up and don't have to try and catch absolute bottom).

If you mean that PSFT will not appreciably move up again until after mid-1999, then I will take you on again and see if I can win this prediction. I predict PSFT will recover substantially from where it is now before mid-1999.

I am not sure I really 'lost' the last prediction because I said PSFT would never go down to $35 based on issues or problems within the company, but a general market collapse could affect it. I think PSFT has been hit first by the general market collapse due to Asia, Russia, etc. and preceptions about software companies in general.
