Dell:

> forgot to mention that DELL is growing profits and earnings more than 50%, CPQ is not.

hmmmm.... Assuming DELL is growing its earnings by 50%, dont you think at a current P/E of around 60 the stock is fairly priced?!

As for CPQ, the earnings growth should materialize starting this quarter and aftrer a painful process of shifting their business model in addition to the intgeration of DEC. Like I said companies like Borland and Novel were also growing their earnings by about 50% or more before a more established company that had been sitting aside and had just been observing trying to see what it was exactly that they were doing, came along and blew them away! And if you do need to remember the name of that company its ticker symbol is MSFT! CPQ is the MSFT of the PC market and there will be absolutely no question about it. DELL will be there, and so would GTW, the same way Novel and Borland continue to exist. Of course this is just one CPQ investor's opinion.

I currently use two Compaq's and one Dell. The Compaq's which are mine have been great (except for Windows 98 always crashing). Just got my Dell yesterday at work and I have to return the monitor. Defective monitor.

What's this talk of Dell quality?
