qcom has been a great trading stock but not one for holding over the last 2-3 years. I have bought and sold qcom about 6 times making anywhere from 10-40% on my money. The only trend I have seen lately is that the "range" has gotten smaller. This tends to make me look elsewhere for volatility.

jon: marginmik is certainly entitled to his opinion (aren't we all).
IMHO (make that very H) this is a time in the market when EACH
of us has to check our premises...with extra care. E.g., is the
great bull market over? Is this merely a deep correction? Is
it becoming "oversold" and due for a "bounce"? If you didn't
own Q (or, pick one) - would you put new money in now? If
you are a "long termer" - will you add to your position - IF - it
falls 50% from here???
Think you get the idea.
Best to all.
(Yes, I bailed out of Q and others some days ago)
Don

I think the stock is weak because of it's strong identification with emerging markets and the vendor financing the company is providing to the operating companies.

The company has explosive upside if a deal is reached with ETSI/ERICY. However it can be cut in half if ERICY declares that it has found a way around QCOM's IPR
