No need to apologize...

CMcD, go ahead and vent. I did my venting over at my Bierstube. I am just as frustrated as you are. Just keep in mind that in every bear market, there are still strong rallies. They don't last very long, but they still pop up <g>. There will be opportunity to cut losses, if that's what you want to do.

Which leads to this thought: The buy-on-the-dip mentality has been replaced with the sell-on-the-rally mentality. If this thinking continues, we are in for renewed troubles.

COOL looks like a good buy now. They are selling at a small multiple of sales relative to all other Internet stocks. DRIV is richly valued by traditional standards, but still way below other Internet companies with similar trailing revenues. Why the hell should INKT get its multiple and DRIV just sinks? Dunno. But I am heartened by the huge buying at the bid that went on all day long. If I could get somebody to tell us who the hell was sitting on the bid, we may get a clear picture of who is buying and why.

A buy recommendation by an underwriter is not guarantee. You are right, COOL certainly proved that today. But I remember another stock that tanked right after Alex Brown recommnded it, only to quadruple 52 weeks later.

I am waiting until 9/12 to get some direction. I am sure we will be laughing about this over a drink some months from now.
