I spent much of the day speaking with investment relations folks from several small cap companies. I wanted to get a feel for whether things are starting to look green around the gills for the little biz..seeing as how their stock prices are already sushi. A few examples: VTEL a dog stock that finally has the management excited--guy says if he were not tapped out he would be averaging down here, TLCM a small semiconductor company that is buying back 25% of their stock--I know they are as I have been watching the trading, and ALDA a graphite golf shaft manufacturer who is moving into the carbon materials biz.

All these guys were unusually positive (I speak with them from time to time). I was left wondering if small stocks will get there run as these companies seem to be suggesting, or if they just can't see the train coming. It is one thing to be bullish on your own company, and another not to see that next month that million dollar order you were counting on just got cancelled.

I really don't know what to make of it, but I sure tried.

Thoughts?

B.
